Pastor Gary E Saunders has a tremendous heart for God’s Word and an overwhelming love for the people of God. He has a contagious generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry. Having received his mandate from God, Pastor Gary, obediently fulfills his calling as Pastor of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Center.
Called to the ministry in 1998 under the careful tutelage of the Honorable Bishop S.E. Saunders, Pastor Gary began his ministry in New York City, later moving to Dayton, OH in 2002. There, he served four years as Associate Pastor of Rhema of Faith Apostolic Church under Bishop Charles R Scott. As an Elder, ordained by Liston Page, Sr., Pastor Gary returned back to New York City in 2006 to sit under the careful guidance of Bishop Wayne L Powell of Strait Gate Church and Rev. Jacqueline McCullough of Beth Rapha (Pomona, NY).
July 2007, with a strong Pastoral anointing on his life, Pastor Gary was mandated by God return to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Center to work alongside his father, Bishop S.E. Saunders and take the helm as Pastor. Together, they pastor and minister the word of Life, preaching and teaching the principles of the Kingdom message. Pastor Gary is a full time student at Shaw University in Raleigh, NC majoring in Religion & Philosophy.
In October 2012, God gave Pastor Gary the vision to begin a morning Prayer Call. Years later, this Prayer Call has propelled into a powerful tool in his ministry and it has reached callers across the word. In 2014, the Monday Prayer Call was renamed to the Prolific Prayer Warriors call and is now even more powerful than ever! This facet of Pastor Garys’s ministry continues to be a blessing to individuals near and far – some he has never even seen in person.
Pastor Gary is married to Kasandra E. Turnage-Saunders. They are the proud parents of 5 children: Nataesha Turnage, Taevone Turnage, Ebony Saunders, Shakera Saunders and Gary Saunders; and 7 grandchildren.
He is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle, “Building and Developing a Kingdom of Empowered people for God; Holding firmly to the commission mandated in Matthew 28:18-20. ‘Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…’ and Ephesians 3:20, ‘Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us’.”
